Sarah Jessica Parker was born in Nelsonville, Ohio on March 24, 1965 to parents Stephen Parker and Barbra Forste (divorced). Sarah has 3 siblings and 4 half-siblings.
She began training to act and dance as a child. She attended both the American Ballet School and The Professional Children's School.
Here first role was at age 8 when she tried out for a local production of The Little Match Girl, and got the part.
As a child she performed in Broadway and off-Broadway plays including The Innocents and Annie (she starred as Annie, and her siblings were also in the cast). She even sang at the Metropolitan Opera.
She turned her attention to television in 1982 with a role in the made-for-TV movie My Body, My Child, then followed by the short lived TV series Square Pegs. Although the series didn't last long, she was nominated for the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Comedy Series.
Her next move was to the big screen in 1983 beginning with a small roles in Somewhere Tomorrow. The following year she landed a role in Footloose and a leading role the following year in Girls Just Want to Have Fun. Her role in Footloose earned her a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Young Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Musical, Comedy, Adventure or Drama.
Over the following decade and a half she had many acting roles on TV, movies (including her outstanding roles in L.A. Story in 1991 and The First Wives Club in 1996), and even on Broadway until she had her big break in obtaining the lead role in Sex and the City in which she and the series received world-wide critical acclaim.

In 1997 she made her big screen debut in Ulee’s Gold playing Peter Fonda’s granddaughter. She received the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actress for her role in this movie. During the late 1990’s she appeared in the Disney movie, I’ll Be Home for Christmas (1998).
In 1999 she decided to break out of the good girl image and posed semi-nude, for Gear magazine (she was still three months shy of her 18th birthday when the pictures were taken). Biel felt as though the producer, Aaron Spelling had too much control over her career – especially allowing her to choose the movies she wanted to do. She wanted to cause a stir and she did in a big way. Although she did not go fully nude, it caused a big stir on the set of 7th Heaven, and she was written off as a regular because of the “family” nature of the show. However, she did make a few appearances over the next few years. Only Blade: Trinity was a box office hit, however, she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Female Performance for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
In 2005 she was awarded the ShoWest Award for Female Star of Tomorrow.
She’s beautiful, she’s talented, and she is also smart. She has already completed three semesters at Tufts University (in Boston) and hopes to return during her “spare time” to finish up her degree.

Jessica has two movies coming out this year that are promising to be big, Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown which has an all-star cast (Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst and Susan Sarandon) and Stealth, an action movie where she stars along side Josh Lucas and Jamie Foxx as a military pilot.
